I am not 100% sure if I agree with this when it comes to modern social media applications and multiplayer video games:

  • Apps like TikTok train the brain to do rapid task switching, as videos themselves are so short.
  • Engaging with addicting technologies strengthens the feedback loops we associate with them, making it a lot harder to resist the temptation to get distracted.

This is especially true for most office jobs, but even as an entrepreneur, reducing the number of times you are distracted by email and texts is an incredibly effective way to boost your product...
